West Galway Harriers — Club Formed in Galway — Lady Appointed Master

A large and representative meeting was held in Galway on Saturday where the West Galway Harriers club was formed. The following were appointed on the Committee: — President, Mr.Charles Costello, Taylor's Hill; treasurer, Mr.Christy Costello, Galway; master, Miss O'Rourke Birmingham, Tuam; huntsman, Mr. John Cullinan, Ballybane; secretary, Mr.Pat Walsh, Moycullen.
Committee - Messrs J. O'Brien, Tuam;J. Stafford, Tuam;P. Murphy; Wm. Mulveagh, Kiltullagh; John Small, Carrabrowne,Pat Boyle, do.;James Healy, do; John O'Brien, Knockdoe; Ml. J. Walsh, Galway.
Amongst those present were - Mesars Ml. Carrick, Turloughmore; Pat O'Brien, do; J. O'Brien, do; Walter Quarter, do;Pat Burke, do;Tom Lawless, do; J. O'Connor, Moycullen;Tom Healy, Killeen; John Henegan, do;Pat Murphy, Killoughter; Ml. Keady, Moycullen,John Duggan, Galway;William McDonough, Killeen, John Small.
Mr.Christy Costelloe who was present offered to do all that lay in his power to make the season's hunting highly successful. Like the good sportsmen that he is, he agreed to bear the initial expenses until such time as the club was placed on a permanent basis.
It was decided to invite followers of the Blazers to the meets of the Beagles an in this connection a card of invitation will be sent to followers of hounds in Co. Galway.
The first meeting will be held at Turloughmore on Sunday next at 12 o'clock.
A large attendance is requested.
