Very Rev. Canon Dalton

The Pope has appointed Very Rev. Edward Dalton, P.P., Ballinrobe, to be Canon Theologian of the Chapter of Tuam. Canon D'Alton was ordained in 1887, and was appointed to his first curacy in Cong in 1888. The intervening period was spent on the mission in Monivea, Kilmaine, Turlough, Belcarra and Athenry, until in 1911, he was appointed P.P., Ballinrobe, and V.F. and Canon. We congratulate Dr. D'Alton on this signal mark of Our Holy Father's favour.
