Terryland Castle Popular name
Description:
This old castle was formerly the residence of the Clanricarde family. The walls are still standing and in good preservation. It is built with cut stone in the Gothic style. Date of erection not known nor when it became a ruin.
Situation:
At the edge of Corrib River in Terryland townland about half a mile from Galway.
