This parish in its greatest extent from East to West is 4½ British miles and from N. to S. 2¾ British miles nearly. It is divided into 23 townlands. The principal roads leading through this parish are from Kinvarra to Gort and to Killeenavarra village and from Cloghballymore to Gort. The nearest marked towns are Gort and Claranbridge.
Situation:
In the Barony of Dunkellin and Co. Galway. Bounded on the North and East by Kilcolgan Parish, on S. by Ardrahan and Kinvarra and on W. by the sea.
