James Daly, Esq., Proprietor. A convent for Dominican Friars in this townland . This townland contains 260 acres, 203 of which are cultivated, 38 uncultivated, 14 of bog, 3 of wood and 2 of water. Lease for ever. The whole townland is let at the yearly rent of £10, no County Cess, no Tythe. The soil light of a gravelly nature, the produce, potatoes, corn and flax. No mineral. There is 1 school house, 2 stories high, is attended by 300 males and 300 females, all Roman Catholics. It was built in 1827.
