Description:
James Daly, Esq., Proprietor. Richard Guinness, Agent. This townland contains 254 acres, 156 of which are cultivated, 108 bog. The lease is 3 lives, let from 15s. to £1. 1s. per acre. County Cess 2s. 2d. per acre for each of 45 being the no. of acres of the townland that is cessed. Tythe 9d. for 1st, 6d. for 2nd., and 4¼d. for 3rd quality of land. The rock is limestone, soil light. Produce, potatoes, corn and flax. 1 School House, John King is teacher, his emulment from 10 to £12 per annum. Attendance 30 children, only 9 females. All Roman Catholic.
Situation:
Situated on the N. boundary of the parish near the N.W. corner of same. It is bounded N. by the parish of Cloonkeen, E. by sd. parish and the townland of Cappanasroohaun, S. by Attimonmore, W. by Ballynanalty. In Tyaquin Barony.
