Description:
M. J. Browne, Esq., or - Blake, Esq., Proprietor, John Blake, Esq., Agent. This townland contains 309 acres, 128 of which are cultivated, 2 uncultivated and 179 of bog it is let at £1 per acre. County Cess 2s. 1d. per acre for each of 32 do. being the no. of acres of this townland that is cessed. Tythe 9d. 6d. and 4¼d. per acre for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quality of land. The rock is limestone, the soil light. Produce potatoes, corn and flax. No minerals. No antiquity.
Situation:
Situated on the centre of the S. boundary of the parish, is bounded N. by the townland of Brackloon, S. by the parish of Kiltulla, W. by Carnaglough, Carrowreagh and Galboola, E. by Carraunmore. In Athenry Barony.
