This townland is the property of James McDermott, Esq., who holds it under a deed for ever. It is of middling good quality and is in a good state of cultivation. The houses and roads are in good repair. There is a rise from North to South. It is 5½ miles S. West of Ballinasloe. It contains 139a. 1r. 33p. Amount of County Cess is £4. 8. 3.
Situation:
Lies in the S. West of the parish in the barony of Cloonmacnoon, bounded by Drim, Newtown Kelly, Carhoomore East, Carhoomore West, Gurteenaveela and Ballagh East townlands in said barony.
