Description:
This townland contains a. r. p. about 12 of which is bog, the remainder callows, covered in winter by the inundation of the River Suck. It is the property of Sir Rosse Mahon, held by deed for ever. It pays £3. 1. 3½ County Cess.
Situation:
Lies in the S. East of the parish , in the barony of Killian, bounded in this parish by the townlands Ballyeeghter, Mahon and Eddergool North and by part of the river Suck which separates it from Green Inch Island in the townland of Eddergool North and on the S. from Inch Island in the townland of Clooncoran parish of Taughmaconnel in the Barony of Athlone, Co. Roscommon.
