This parish contains 5,277 statute acres. Its greatest length from E. to W. is 41/2 miles and breadth from N. to S. is 3 miles. This parish is bad and principally cultivated. There are a number of old castles on it, but has neither town or village.

Situated in the Baronies of Athenry, Dunkellin and Loughrea, County of Galway. 3 1/2 miles N.W. of Loughrea and 1 mile S.E. of Athenry.
