Estate of Marquis Clanricarde. Proprietor, Marquis of Clanricard, Portumna Castle. Agent, Rocert D'Arcy, Woodville. This townland is farmed by the widow of Richard Rathburn, Esqr. [Unable to read.], with a good lodge and offices on it. No tenure. Soil middling good producing potatoes, oats, wheat. [Unable to read] convenient to this lodge stands of the walls of an old castle from which it is supposed by the inhabitants [Unable to read.] Ground [Unable to read] its name there is a small greenhill called Kings [Unable to read] hill and 3 mills, a flour mill, corn mill and [unable to read].
Situation:
E. of the Parish. Bounded on E. by the parish of Kilconeron on South by the parish of Lickerrig, on W. by townlands Creggaun and Bally[Unable to read.] And on N. by Ballymore. [Unable to read].
