Description:
Proprietor William G. Downing Nesbet, Esqr., Island of Corfu. Agent, John Cornwal, Esqr., No. 6 Rutland Square West, Dublin. All held under lease by John Kilkelly, Esqr., Holsfort. Rent 18 shillings per acre except a few acres let to Cottiers. Farms from 3 to 120 acres. Soil middling pasture the part tilled produces light crops of wheat, oats, and potatoes. Co. Cess 14D. paid per acre half yearly. Antiquities and forts called Lisachora, a burying place for children and Caher with a cave, also Cairn named Carie.
Situation:
This townland lies to the West of the parish of Belclare. Bounded on the orth by the townlands of Caltra and Ballantleva. On the West and South by the parish of Downpatrick and on the East by townland Caltra. In the Barony of Clare and County of Galway.
