Description:
Proprietor R. T. Manser St. George Esqr., Headford and Arthur French St. George of Tyrone. The latter has a property of 17 acres about the Abbey. Agent john O'Hara, Esqr., Galway. Part of this townland held under lease of one life. Rent 42 shillings per acre and part held yearly. All mostly in pasture and part tilled. All good soil. On this townland stand the ruins of the Ancient Abbey of Ross. Co. Cess 141/4D per acre 1/2 yearly. Farms are large.
Situation:
In the North East side of the parish. Bounded on the North West by the parish of Shruil, Co. Mayo. On the South and East by Ardfinton and Curdarragh. In the Barony of Clare and County of Galway.
