Description:
About 100 acres on the side of this townland is liable to inundation by the River Shannon in the E. side of this townland [Unable to read.] is an old Castle and close to the S. East two [Unable to read.] [Unable to read.] in ruin.* There is a number of old and new Lime Kilns. There is a small portion of bog in S. of this townland. The remainder is all arable. There are several farm houses in this townland.*Derryhiveny - a castle belonging to Nora na gCaislean.
Situation:
Bounded on the N. by Derrahyney North. On the West by part of Corr, and Gurtyneal. On the E. by the River Shannon and on the South by Cappasollagh or Cappasale.
