Description:
Proprietor James O’Hara, Esq., Recorder of Galway. The greatest portion of this towland is held by Proprietor who lives in Leanaboy House of two story high with suitable offices and a good garden and Demesne beautifully planted and free from rocks. The Baths built by Doctor Grey are in this townland. A portion of this townland on South side of road between the Records Quay and Black Rock belongs to Mr. Whaley, Oran Quay, Dublin and leased to 8 tenants who has given their [unable to read] term to [unable to read] who have built neat lodges for the Accommodation of Bathers. Lease 1 life or 31 years.
Situation:
S. of the parish. Bounded on the N. by Clothathisky, on E. by Town Parks, on S. and S.E. by Galway Bay, and on the W. by Cappanaghveeagh.
