Description:
Proprietor W. Whaley, Ormond Quay, Dublin. Agent Charles Filgate, Esq., Ahascragh. This townland is held by 35 tenants and is set in fields and small plots to different tenants at £10 per acre. One of those tenants have a lease of 99 years and others of 21 years. The following lodges are in this townland White Strand Lodge two story high the residence of Mr. Murray, Old Baths, the residence of Mr. James Fallon, West House the residence of J. L. Reily, Port? Collector.
Situation:
S.E. of the parish. Bounded on North by Newcastle, on E. by the parish of St. Nicholas, on S. by Galway Bay, and on W. by Leanaboy E., Cloghanthisky, Kilcorky and Shantholla.
