Description:
A large portion of bog. It is the property of Mr. Burke. 1 third cultivated, the remainder deep bog and rough pasture, a bye or cross road forms its North boundary and the road from Athenry to Tuam forms its eastern boundary. Its general surface varies from 240 to 270 feet above the level of the sea.
Situation:
4 miles S.E. of Monivea. It is situated 1½ miles S.E. of Monivea bounded on the North by Tiaquin Demesne, East by Curmacooagh E., South by Cloonkeen Parish, Cloonkeen bog and Shoodaun and West by Shoodaun, Leanamore and Tiaquin Demesne.
