Description:
Propr. Thomas Lynch, Esq., Lavally. Agent Mark Loughnane, Newford. The propr. holds the greater and better part of those lands and lives thereon, the remainder of the land is occupied by 8 tenants. Rent from £1. 3s. to £1 and 18s. pr. acre. No tenure. Soil light , dry, gravely, producing potatoes, wheat and oats. On this land are some lime stone rocks. Houses built of stone. Last County Cess 1s. 4½d. per acre. There is a monument on this land in which there is a flag with raised letters cut on it and was erected in 1712 to the memory of proprietors ancestors.
Situation:
N. of the parish. Bounded on the N. by Stradbally and Athenry parishes, on E. by Killeeneen parish, on South by Ballygarriv and Rooavehagh townlands and on W. by Tobberbracken.
