Description:
Props. John Reddington, Esq., Dangan House. The whole of this townland is in the hands of proprietor who lives in the House of Dangan of three story high with offices, garden and nicely planted and chiefly meadow. Dangan Cottage the residence of John Francis Blake, Esq., is in this townland and is also nicely planted. It is chiefly meadow. Mr. A. Marshall has a lease of a denomination of this townland called Stripe. There is a burying place called Killelesseen in this townland for children but no person buried there for the last 20 years.
Situation:
East of the parish. Bounded in the north by parish of Oranmore in the Liberties, on E. by said parish and Newcastle townland, on S. by Dangan Upper, and on the W. by Baunacranny and Bushy Park.
