Proprietor Robert Hedges Eyre, Esq., Macroom, Co. Cork. Agent Rev. W. Paine, ?. This townland is held by 90 tenants in small plots. Some have leases and more have no lease. The Rev. Edward Eyre Maunsell holds a portion of this townland under lease, and has it sub let to tenants at from 10s to £1 yearly for a house and small plot of ground Mr. Eyre has a beautiful house on this townland with offices and garden in perfect repair and is called Fort Eyre date 1822. Mr. ? holds a portion of this townland. Mr. Pat Commons of Rosshill? and Mr. Foley has a building in progress?. The house of Shanthalla is in this townland with offices and garden and now occupied by Mr. Blake sub Irish of Police. There are more small cottages.
Situation:
S.E. of parish. Bounded on N. by Leitra, Dangan Upper and Newcastle, on E. by townpark, on S. by Kilcorky and Cloghathisky, and on W. by Rahoon.
