Description:
John D’Arcy, Esq. Proprietor. This townland contains 108 acres, 54 of which are cultivated, 47 uncultivated, and 7 of wood. Is in chancery, this court lets it every 7th year to the above proprietor’s son, at the yearly rent of £1 per acre. County Cess from 1s. 3d. to 1s. 8d. half yearly per acre, Tythe 1s. per acre. Soil light, produce potatoes, wheat, corn, flax. No mineral, no antiquity.
Situation:
Situated on the S. boundary and a little West of the centre. It is bounded N. by Kiltulla North, E. by Clonovan, S. by parish of Kilconeeron, and W. by Grayford. In Athenry Barony.
